Inbetweened inked coloured animation test.

Here is everything inked. No background yet. If this looks wierd or peculiar please tell me. I'm strangely unsure about this but i think that may be because its my own work and i'm struggling to see anything particularly right about this.

Here is a few seconds of inked animation. The animation at the end messes up so excuse me for that. Otherwise, please tell me what you think. I'm going to try and get this all coloured and animated by tomorrow.

This seems to run a couple frames slower than i would like it to. Anyone know a better way of uploading to this blogthing.

Inked Keyframe Test

I've been experimenting with inking. One of my ideas when i started this project (mainly to save time) was to stop drawing every element of my character. So if the body wasn't moving i wouldnt have to draw it onto a new frame. This always took to much time trying to replicate the same line over and over, and took even more time when it came to inking. I also thought that if the character had this 'moving hold' look it sometimes watered down another part of the character. (expressions etc)

So what i'm doing now is a very limited form of animation, but its allowing me to put a lot more drawings into other areas. Take a look at this please and tell me what you think. Its just a very simple keyframed inked line test. I still haven't drawn out some of the character so it might look a bit funny.

Inking is what i hate about animating more than anything. So it s something i always leave until the last minute, but this time i round i'm trying to do it side by side with my animation. I was going to put up some keyframes for you lot to critique and spit on but blogspot is being shit. So here is my digital ink attempts. Its messy, but i just felt like i needed to post sommic. If anyone knows a good way to ink frames give me a shout. THANKS!

And here is a quick colour of the same frame in photoshop.

Here is a keyframe test. Without the sound it doesnt make to much sense. So heres whats going on.

At the start of my animation my characters stomach rumbles. Due to the intensity of the rumbles he grits his teeth and pulls a short sequence of painful expressions.

Some of the frames are a bit faded.

Progress Post

Here is my character...who i'm probably going to change. I just needed to update. I talked to Martin about this but we both agreed he didnt fit the personality i wanted him to have. He's supposed to be this nervous, slightly neurotic character whos emotions always work in extremes. I'm not really feeling it with this current chracter. Critque is appreciated anyway. (ignore my shitty hand drawings)

I hate the demon in the mirror on this picture.

This last drawing below is the slight revisions to his personality. Some of these doodles are disgusting but i believe the design is more relevant to what i want.
